The answer is..... The one thing worse then going to Hell is taking your entire family with you in to Hell.

If you believe 'hell' is a permanent place, think again.
'Hell', or in Greek, Hades, is to be eliminated.
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Ha′des were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire.
It is a 'condition'. A condition that accompanies death. simply, man's grave.
A hole in the ground or even at sea.
From which we will be resurrected.
Revelation 20; 12,13
So to 'go to hell' is to die and be buried...in the ground or at sea.

going to torment forever gnashing teeth, cursing and weeping forever-knowing that over and over you rejected free salvation in Jesus and going to heaven-
worse than that -is to live a life without Jesus-as a Jew I did that-and regret every day I missed knowing Jesus heart and soul-even knowing now I am going to heaven.

Purgatory, if you are a Catholic and faithful to that Religion in a sort of literal manner.
The idea is that purgatory is worse because you are in a state of suspension without relief. You are stuck in a life of total doubt, or even total pain, fear, sorrow or trapped in a plastic bubble. You can see others and superficially understand them but you can not communicate with them. You are in a purgatory.
