If its no longer Tourette syndrome. Then its in all probability basically nerves. the attention is a huge ball of nerves and blood vessels. My eye consistently twitches when I get annoyed or under pressure. Its a blood vessel it relatively is to on the fringe of a nerve.

it can be for a few reasons, stress signal, something in your eye, blinking is off kilter, straining eyes too much. If it stops when your calm, it's a stress signal. if it randomly stops when you shed a tear in that eye or flush it out, it's something ion your eye. if your blinking is out of sync, close your eyes for about 15 seconds and open them again, see if this helps, and finally, if you strain them too much, like at a computer screen, look away for a few min, but ultimately, stop looking at the screen soon.

Hope this helps :)
