Depends on your definition of full-size... but the Maxima is definitely not midsize, it's "upscale," comparable in size to a Toyota Avalon for example. If you're looking for a midsized Nissan, stick with the Altima.

Of course the maxima only comes in four door, the accord however does have a two door version which of course downs the size/weight. But both four door cars, the accord is slightly bigger, although the maxima roomier on the interior and overall a nicer vehicle

Well the county tax agent here told me that my nissan is a mid-size sedan. Then he raised my taxes.
The maxima is a little bigger then the accords. But the accords are gaining. But gas prices may force us to get bikes and peddle.

Maxima is a Full Size in todays marketplace. Altima is almost full size Sentra now has moved up to mid size can you believe that? I'm 250 lbs 6' tall and can sit confortably in the back seat of a sentra 6' tall driver in front of me. Maxima has power heated seats in back option. Also bucket rear seat option I really like.
