i agree to you it's easy to forgive but not easy to forget because the wound is still fresh.we can't forget it overnight but if you forgive that person wholeheartedly you can also forget what he/she did to you.Ask the Lord for wisdom and grace to make it.Pray for that person also.mingle with some friends, talk to someone close to you in order to ease the pain and eventually as time goes by you will learn to forget.if we trully forgive someone we can also forget what he/she did to you.God bless

To put it in a nutshell, you don't! If you forget, you're just setting yourself up to have the same thing happen again.
Let the person know that you forgive him or her and that you trust them. But also let them know that if they betray that trust, it's over. And mean it when you say it.
I know a number of marriages where one of them was unfaithful, the other forgave, and their relationship was really good and loving forever after.
So hang in there, kiddo. It can work!

In time, forgetting turns into acceptance. You will never forget, but acceptance is truly forgiveness. Huh?

Just give yourself time. I'm facing the same problem, i forgave someone for betraying me, but that doesn't mean that i can forget. It's driving me crazy to even think about her, the sooner i can forget her the better it will be for me. Good Luck!

You don't really. I've learned to forgive as much as I can...but I never forget.

Only time does that. Time and positive experiences with the person you love and forgave. The time will restore your trust and confidence in the other person if it's not violated and will likely make you grow even closer together than before.

smart people do not forget. if they do then they are idiots. but not forgetting does not mean reminding a person every second of what she did.
remembering things makes us vigil and makes us identify the shitt b4 it happens again and take precautions.

very true. If you have forgiven, keep reminding yourself not to think about what you cannot forget. This seems to be the only way to ease any pain.
