If you have XP, it comes with Windows Movie Maker, which will connect to your source input and you'll be able to capture the video stream from that source, provided it's using a suitable capture device (USB or Firewire).

i hope you dont have a mac because alot of camcorders do not have the capability.
just get a usb cable and connect them.
