Specialized makes a fantastic frame, I've got a full-suspension Specialized Rockhopper FSR that's about 3 years old and the frame has held up well.

Mind you I live in Florida and anyone who knows anything about geography will tell you that there aren't a whole lot of mountains around here - so I haven't really beat the hell out of the bike - but I have no doubt that the bike would handle anything I throw at it.

I used to ride GT because the geometry of their frames just fit my body perfectly - I found them to be quite comfortable. The only other frame I've found that comes close is the Specialized. I would not think twice about getting the Stumpjumper - which is a few ticks above the one I own on the price scale.

Also, I looked up the components and they are top of the line as well.

Fantastic looking bike. Go get it and ride :)

I love my Stumpjumper FSR. It's not a 2007, but it's still a great bike. Try out some bikes before you buy, but I like the Stumpjumper.

Well, what you found is not a good full-suspension bike but an outstanding one. The Stumpjumper FSR is as good as bikes that cost twice its asking price. The only thing missing is the high zoot name and the high price tag.

The Specialized FSR rear suspension is one of the most copied in the world, so much so that Specialized as filed a ton of law suites for patent infringement and won. so just based on that alone I'd say yes it is a good choice.

Yep it's a good bike. They've updated since last year. I think that last years model is better than the current model. Check into it and compare the two. You may find a good deal in a 2006.

Also check into the Canondale Rush or Prophet.

I know a little bit from talking to experts, not an expert myself by any means, but almost everyone I know seems to think that Specialized is on the cutting edge of just about everything. Definitely a safe bet.
