I believe the bible was written by men who felt just like you do, rearful of the unknown. If there is a God in Heaven, he/she is not petty nor would he/she care what you think anyway.

I don't think you need to be afraid about this. God never said that you need to get every little thing right about your faith -- I don't even remember Him saying that if you don't believe in Hell that gives you a reservation there! The important thing is that you believe in Christ Jesus, as it says in Acts 4:12 -- "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
Jesus said that there's pretty much only one sin that will not be forgiven:
Matt 12:31-32
"And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come."
And what He was talking about was some religious leaders who were calling Him demon-posessed, when He was actually filled with the Holy Spirit of God. Essentially they were calling the Holy Spirit a demon, and that is way beyond being just wrong.
God knows we don't know everything -- That's His job description, not ours.
It's all right -- Relax.

If you are in fear of God and the hell that is promised by unbelief , then you have nothing to worry about . Ecclesiastes 12 : 13 - 14...Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter : Fear God , and keep His commandments : for this is the whole duty of man . For God shall bring every work into judgement , with every secret thing , whether it be good , or whether it be evil ...........The point here is that the reason you think you denied God , is that you are winning the battle of spiritual warfare in your heart ! Because the Lord is present in you , you would otherwise not be bothered by this issue of denial you think you are facing !! Remember the devil can put doubt in your foundation . The devil will try to weaken your defenses so he can get in the crack he creates in your belief !!! God Bless & have a very Blessed CHRISTmas !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First the Bible doesn't say that your going to go to hell when you die. The Bible does how ever say that when you are dead you can no longer feel any thing.
Eccl.9:5
Ps. 146:4
So why would any one think that a Loving and Just God would send them to a place of torment to burn for ever when you at the longest live 105 years? That wouldn't be a Just God.
I would recommend you study the Bible a little more to have a stronger faith. We are all imperfect. We all make mistakes.
God nos your heart and whats in it.

Here's how I handle the concept of Hell. If it exists then I'm going there. Should I be upset? No, because most decent humans beings are going to Hell for not worshiping a specific deity, and why should I turn my back on people I feel are equal to me by hiding in Heaven? Does a soldier leave his battalion at times of war so he can go to Disneyland? No, because he understands the reality of suffering and does not run from it. I'd rather go to Hell then be a hypocrite. Personally, I don't believe anyone should to go to Hell when freewill doesn't exist. We are slaves to circumstance, but people are delusional and like to think that they are in control of everything.

You should only follow God out of love not fear. Try ignoring Hell. Would you be a Christian?
If not, you have lots of thinking to do.
Try reading about Hell. Why do you believe in it? Look at www.tentmaker.org and 'Hell' which is under 'Hot Topic' for a fresh approach. You don't have to agree, just learn other's opinions. You may be more relaxed about the issue.

Do you think she was right about a) Christianity or about b) your faithfulness? If you think she’s right about Christianity then you need a good old fashioned hell and damnation experience or two to show you that you are worthy of that but that the gift of God is eternal life. If you think she’s right about your faithfulness then you probably need to be shown a) again (just for good measure, it never hurts) and then buckle down and stop denying God.

Daniel fear not for Christ is still on the throne! You are indeed a God fearing Christian. Do not fear God as if God is a hard God but respect his awesome power and authority. The Gospel is the Good News That God loves you so much even in your sin that he paid the price of death for you. God is righteous and merciful and it is not God's wish that anyone should perish. God love us and it is evident that you love God keep the faith and stay in the word and in prayer and you need not fear anything for greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world God Bless You.

Daniel, don,t be afraid. You know the devil tormented me day and night making me think I said something or thought something and that God would be done with Me....Relax thats the enemy trying to shake your faith...We all think sometimes that we are scared of hell and thats why we serve God,thats normal,The fear of god is the beginnibg of wisdom.......You are not just serving God cause you are scared as you think,we are all scared of Hell and don,t want to go there....If you had done anything wrong you would feel no remorse, you would not care if you went to hell or not,if you were not a christian....When those thought come to your mind,Just say over and over in your mind the name Jesus, and if you need to write us a million times for reasurane do it,thats what we christians are here for to help out fellow man,God bless you......The Love of God casteth out all fear!

It seems to me that you're afraid of going to Hell because you question your religion. 2 points arise:
1) I'm not a Christian, but when I was a learned to NEVER accept what the Church says!
2) Is it in the Bible that you'll go to Hell if you ask a question about God? If it is, then I suggest seriously rechecking your religion.

If the only reason you are Christian is that you fear the eternal punishment of Hell, then you are like a child who behaves simply because he fears Daddy's belt. However, as another answerer says, this stage is probably necessary as the beginning of wisdom; the child would eventually see the inherent wisdom of behaving well instead of badly and come to understand the reason for Daddy's punishment when he misbehaves. (In reality, not everyone makes this leap and many simply continue to have bad thoughts and stifle them for fear of the belt.)
I had a pastor in my teenage years who used to threaten his congregation with, "now that you're committed to God, you must follow Him. If you deny Him, He will kill you." He proceeded to tell all about a man who denied God and was killed in a nasty car wreck. I was afraid at the time, but I came to understand that being committed to God was not so easy as running around blindly doing what we think God's will is so that He won't come along and kill us.
Over the years, I examined the negative thoughts I had and read a lot of material on the nature of evil, and came to understand that evil thoughts or even the impulse to do bad things is accompanied by a deterioration of the soul; I understood the awful feeling of being hated at one point, and it bothered me until I realized that I only felt bad because I resented the person for hating me. I returned the feeling of hatred to its originator, and all that did was multiply it. I began to switch to pity, understanding the hatred as a negative and refusing to perpetuate it.
It is with long self-examination and perseverance in understanding that we overcome the level of blind fear and progress to understanding of the meaning behind things. When we do, the raw fear becomes more of a deep aversion, not because of a threat but because of a fundamental understanding of why it is so. This progression need not even be strictly Christian, but it can be applied to any philosophical framework, as long as one is not inherently antisocial. I hope this long-winded explanation helps!
