I can have many, many great days, then I sometimes, I have some of the worst days. During the bad days suicide becomes a viable option. Why can't I have a bad day and not think of death?

Depression does not have to be present constantly to be a problem--it can be sparatic, as you are describing. Suicide is often thought of during a time of depression as an escape from the life that is tormenting the depressed individual. It is sometimes also viewed as a viable option if the depressed individual is also angered--it can be seen as a way to "get back" at someone or something, without thinking fully and rationally about the consequences.

Ads are often run for antidepressants that say within their disclaimers "increased depression or thoughts of suicide". Why say them both?-many times people do not realize they are depressed when suicide becomes an option. For example, the angry and depressed may not see suicide as depression at all--they may not even realize they are depressed when they consider it. To them, it is just another form of revenge.

Reflecting on your moments of contemplating suicide and mentioning the connection between suicide and depression are good signs. By thinking about how the two are connected, you are less likely to actually commit suicide than someone who does not stop to think about such things.

Certainly the two are associated. You did not say if you are on medication. If you are still having those type of days and you are on medication, you need to advise your doctor so he can make some changes. The biggest problem is that it only takes a split second to make a horrible decision that you can't take back that had you waited just a day or two you would have felt completely different about it. Suicidal thoughts are dangerous in any capacity and should be taken up with your doctor.

When some people get depressed they think of only negative thoughts, then they might think that they have no hope and things get so overwhelming that they need an escape. And then thats when they start to think about suicide.

Suicide has nothing to do with depression.

Because Cleopatra killed herself because Augustus was trying to get her. Cleopatra wasn't depressed.

Suicide is someone who want to escape, want an easy way
out of problem. Don't wanna face consequences, giving up,
being a loser...

So no I don't think you have a depression.
There are some people who feel depressed but don't want
