Before I can see the Santa Tracker http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16024188/?GT1=8816
and I can't even let my daughter play on disney.com & nickelodeon.com because it says I need to install Flash player. But, I install it, and it says I have it, so I go back to the main page to let her play, and I get the same prompt! What is going on?! I know I did some house cleaning on the PC last week, and I changed some things to make it run quicker...what did I do to make this happen, and How do I get it to run correctly again? Thanks!

I had this problem for months and was recently able to address the problem with the help of an adobe forum entry (listed below). Please try this and let me know how it goes. You may need a geek friend to assist. It's technical, but it's not that hard to do.

See the sources listed below for full details. Basically you have to:
- uninstall flash player.

- reset your security settings back to the defaults (a few keys in your registry are messed up to the point where it doesn't think you have authority to mess with them. Fix it as follows:

- To reset your operating system back to original installation default security settings:
1. Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then press ENTER.
2. Type secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\repair\secsetup.inf /db secsetup.sdb /verbose, and then press ENTER. You receive a "Task is completed" message, and a warning message that something could not be done. You can safely ignore this message. For more information about this message, view the %windir%\Security\Logs\Scesrv.log file.

reinstall flashplayer.

I resolved this by using the "open with" dialog box and selecting Internet Explorer (because there is no Flash Player to choose) to open my swf files. and checking the box to use this option all the time, This is not a full solution but worked for me.
