I noticed they don't waste their money on large, gaudy buildings, and it seems like they actually make a real effort to help people. Even though I'm Agnostic, I admire their effort.

Yes, we do. We are not strong church goers but we do give to the Salvation Army. They do a tremendous amount of good and do not try to convert those they help. They demonstrate true Christianity by how they lead their lives.

I think it is one of a few charitable organizations that actually deserve to be given to. After 9/11 and some of the financial problems that arose with some other charities, it was shown that The Salvation Army gave away 80-90% of what was taken in and always has. That is an incredibly large percentage compared to some that were only giving 30-40% and paying millions to their CEOs. They are to be admired and helped with your time or donation.

God Bless and Merry Christmas.

Yes I do. Every time I see a collection point, I give them whatever "spare" ones and change I have in my bag at the time. I only saw them at WalMart this year, but I did a lot of my shopping there, so I ended up donating quite a bit.

If I were a rich man that was able to donate a lot of money to anything other then my childrens needs and wants then I would definately donate to the Salvation Army. They are one of the few organizatins that dont discriminate and judge people. They just try to help every one who needs it.

I have in the past but recently I've been giving to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital. Those kids really deserve it. The Red Cross is another I like because it helps so many in dire times.
