Laser eye treatment works, there is no doubt about that. I have worn glasses, and contacts, since I was a child, but if I were to be a suitable candidate (too old now) for laser eye treatment then I would go for it like a shot.
Like absolutely all medical procedures there are risks of failure and complications.
Its your decision, but consider the risks and the benefits.

Good evening (well it's evening here......),
A friend of mine I work with had it done recently - just loves it!!
Had a pretty strong perscription. I just started wearing contacts
about 2 years ago - just a slight correction, so I may wait it out a while before I consider laser treatment.
Happy holidays,

If cost was not an issue I'd be very likely to do it. It's been around for a while now, and the risks and long term effects are pretty well understood.
As for now, the average cost is around $5k - and my eyes are pretty bad, plus I have astigmatism in one eye, so it would probably cost me even more than that.
