yeah its possible when u convert a widescreen video to fullscreen you should use some kind of dvd author Program Liike Tmpenc or Tmpg dvd author Pro then go to where it says resolution and size selct like NTSC 1;1 or something like that

Many newer tvs have the ability to view it 'full screen' if you check the menu, however, you loose some of the image. Not perfect, but you might want to see if your TV has that function.

well in a sense yes, if you play around with your screen resolution you should find one that cuts off the empty black spaces and streches the input to fit the screen
