As Jesus was on his way, the crowds almost crushed him. 43And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years,[d] but no one could heal her. 44She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped.

45"Who touched me?" Jesus asked.
When they all denied it, Peter said, "Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you."

46But Jesus said, "Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me."

47Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed. 48Then he said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace."

Beautiful story.

She placed a DEMAND on healing. She would not rest until she tracked G-d down, no matter what the obstacle.

She was desperate for a touch, and she touched Him, they just bumped into Him.

She had faith and acted on it. She was probably told to stay home and rest. But she knew rest didnt help for 12 years....she needed JESUS.

Bless u, I just love that story

Well, not to be obvious, but it seems that the woman was in need of healing and had faith that Jesus could provide for her need.

The facts of the matter are this: she was not important enough (others thought) to be introduced to the Rabbi or Teacher. He also had "people crowing and pressing against him" but none of them 'took power from him from the Holy Spirit' so that meant she had to be unusual. She had to be a true believer in who he was. It was for people like her that he came to earth to teach. However, he died for everyone, especially people like her.

In other interpretations Christ said he was touched by someone with faith. Thus she knew without doubt she would be healed if only she touched him.

People have the ability to cure themselves of anything. Jesus was a catalyst for her own power.
