Yes, it is normal. My roommate just bought home two siamese kittens and my 2 year old cat does the same thing to them. He does play a little too rough sometimes, but he won't hurt them. I think they just don't realize how much bigger and stronger they are than the kittens.

Normal, yes, and lwet me tell you this too, I have seen this before and then instinct sets in and then the older cat will gtrab the neck and not let go breaking the neck to kill it. So please don't leave them alone together and over nioght keep them separated until kitten grows up more. Trust me the older kitty don't mean to, it is their nature. Don't hit the older cat. Watch and see it it carries it around, I do know that mother cats carry their babies by the back of the neck. Just be careful OK?

Yes! this is very common in the nature of all feline. from mountain lion too domestic cats. the other cat is giving the kitten a gesture of dominance.

It is perfectly normal, she iz just playin & showin whoz boss. My kitten at 6 weeks of age waz outside playin with my lab cross rotty. Ur kitten will be fine, most likely ur kittenz havin fun.....
