Breast cancer in teenagers is very rare. For women 20 and older, the American Cancer Society recommends clinical breast exams, performed by a trained health care provider, once every three years, and then yearly after age 40. Many women already receive clinical breast exams as a regular part of their periodic exams.
Early breast cancer has few, if any, symptoms. The tumors are not necessarily painful, and there are not always visible signs. Becoming familiar with your breasts — what they look like and how they feel — will help you notice any irregularities, such as puckering or dimpling of the skin, unusual nipple discharge, or unusual lumps.
Although there is no foolproof way to prevent breast cancer, there are ways to reduce your risk:
Exercise. For teens and young women, exercising just four hours per week can lower the lifetime breast cancer risk by 60 percent.
Eat well. Studies show that eating a diet low in animal fat and high in fiber can decrease a person's risk for many different types of cancers, including breast cancer. Obesity also increases the risk of breast cancer.
Limit alcohol consumption. Drinking a lot of alcohol may increase the risk of breast cancer by increasing the amount of estrogen in the blood.
Quit smoking, or don't start. Although studies have not shown a direct link between smoking and breast cancer for all women, some data suggest that smoking does increase the risk of breast cancer for a small population of women with genes that interfere with the body's ability to process various chemicals in cigarette smoke.
I hope this helps.

Yes, teenagers can get breast cancer, although it is rare. There is rarely any pain or outward symptoms when you are young. Young people are able to withstand disease more than older people and because they feel well they often delay seeing a doctor until it is too late. If you suspect anything at all, it is better to have a doctor examine you for an evaluation.
Here are a few sites about breast cancer in young women:
Young Survival ( breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in women ages 15 to 54)

Good luck.

Not very likely, but it could happen. You would feel a lump in your breast that's how you know. You don't feel pain with cancer until it is in the last stage, that's why they call it the silent killer. If you're worried go to your doctor and have your breast examined. Sometimes you feel a lump and it could be a cyst or a milk duct.
Your doctor will feel right away whether there's something or not.

Anyone, male or female of any age can develop breast cancer...altho it's not as common in younger people. If you have specific symptoms or find any lumps or thickness, leakage...you should see a doctor and demand a mammogram (don't take 'no, IT'S NOT NECESSARY" for an answer). Usually pain is NOT a symptom

yes teenagers can get breast cancer, but it isn't that common. the first symptom is usally a lump in your breast. i found a lump in my breast when i was about 14 and i went to see my GYN. he let me feel this replica of a breast and it had a lump in it . he told me that this is what it usually feels like and it felt like a pea or a marble. but it was just tissue, breasts contains a lot of it. if you have a history of breast cancer in your family or you have found a lump in your breast go see a doctor quickly. but know that breast cancer can be taken care of if discovered early. a lot of women have beat it. but don't worry yourself too much. but do go see a doc!
---oh! now if you want to lower your risk of cancer, take 1 vitamin C tablet and two astragalus tablets everyday. and also eat foods and drink liquids that fights cancer causing agents. they will keep your immune system up for battle.

anyone can get cancer at any time. if women in your family have it you could have a higher chance of getting it. if its in your genes you cant totally prevent it but you can lesson the chances of it. eat right, exercise, get enough rest, and check your breasts every month for any lumps or changes. if you are not sure how to check yourself ask your nurse or doctor how. or you can get booklets about it from the public health dept, hospital, some doctors offices and the library and internet. there is pain at the later stages of cancer. but the key is to catch it early.

Yes they can. Its extra-ordinarily rare. I suspect you feel something that worries you. Here is how you know if its worth getting checked out.
Do you have it in both breasts?
If you find it on both sides, its suppossed to be there.
Otherwise, get it looked at
