There have been many vampire films made, but not all were created equal. Some stand out from the rest. What are some of your favorites?

Thanks for all the great answers. There have been many good vampire films made, and there's hopefully more new ones coming to a screen near you.
Vampires bring to the screen a film like a rollercoaster ride -- filled with suspense, fantasy, life and death, eroticism, horror, and much more.

Interview With the Vampire - if vampire's are real, this film seems to be the most realistic depiction I've seen
The Lost Boys - sort of goofy with the two Corey's in it, but still a great movie. Keifer Sutherland and his gang of vampires made this movie great.
The Forsaken - I can think of nothing more exciting than being chased by a gang of vampires.
John Carpenter's Vampires - I love the whole vampire slayer bit. Ok, I can think of something more exciting than being chased by vampires: hunting vampires.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (with Kristy Swanson) - sort of comedic in a Lost Boys sort of way, but still a great movie.
From Dusk Till Dawn - how could you not love a movie with Salma Hayek and a Baldwin boy in it.

Salem's Lot - the original because it scared the crap out of me ... especially the little kid vampire.
Lost Boy's - because it was suspenseful and funny.
Fright Night -- at the time, Chris Sarandon could have freely bit my neck!!! But I found Roddy McDowell priceless in this movie.
Oh and last but not least, Once Bitten with George Hamilton. It was soo funny! And whats not to love about a vampire with a tan!!!

Brahm Stoker's Dracula is one of my all time favorite vampire movies and movies period. There's just so many reasons why. It's entertaining, a very interesting subversive take on the whole Dracula character, a penetrating study of psychology and Romanticism, beautifully filmed, and has an amazing cast.

Yeah, I gotta agree with some of the answers already posted.
Interview With A Vampire surprised me. I didn't think I was gonna like it at first, but it was really good.
Bram Stoker's Dracula, eh! It was okay..., but not all that.
Blade, Underworld and Van Helsing are kinda all the same. Not great, but not all that bad either.
Queen of the Damned WAS pretty bad.

The absolute best vampire is Bella Lugosi's Dracula. The eyes are just perfect, you know? But one that freaked me out when I was younger was Salem's Lot. Not the main big blue vampire, the one that was in the priest's house in the rocking chair, and the same one crawling up behind the kid in the basement at the end. Another good one is Nosferatu, yet again the original, which is actually filmed in German.

Interview With The Vampire. Lestat is astounding :3 i think of vamp movies set in the Victorian era or sometime around then are lots greater effective than the admired-day ones. permit the main remarkable One In is likewise a sturdy one even nonetheless it somewhat is a Swedish action picture so which you're able to could study subtitles. they have basically re-made it nonetheless, an American version basically called permit Me In. it is likewise sturdy. it basically lacks the loneliness that the Swedish one has. :)

Bram Stoker's 'Dracula' with Gary Oldman is excellent, as is 'Interview with the Vampire." As for the WORST vampire movie ever, (or just the overall worst MOVIE ever) that goes to Queen of the Damned.
