Have someone around you try to scare you. That's what usually works for me. Good Luck!

Hiccups can be due to what you ate..doing to overworrying about something..or stress..
If you want to gid rid of it, just drink some water..take a deept breath..and drink some more..do this about 5 more times..if it doesn't go away..chew on some gum...or get some mint..it will help settle those hiccups. IF it still doesn't work, get a good scare.

This might not be what you want to hear, but one of my friend's was having the hiccups a lot, and was having trouble getting rid of them. So she went to the doctor, and there is something wrong with her esophagus. It might be nothing, but if they are a major problem I would recommend consulting a doctor.
On a lighter note, sometimes I get them because I eat too fast. Slowing down really helps.
Good luck!

My wife holds her nose, blocking the openings and drinks a glass of water straight down (you don't have to guzzle...just drink it down normally). That always works for her, it could work for you.

I saw this on a tv show, forget which one... I think that show where there are real life episodes of an ER...

Rub your forehead just above each eyebrow for a few minutes, it works!
There was a case of a woman with chronic hiccups and the doc had tried everything to cure her...

Hold your breath.
Drink a glass of water quickly.
Become frightened.
Use smelling salts.
Pull hard on your tongue.
Place one-half teaspoon of dry sugar on the back of your tongue. (You can repeat this process 3 times at 2-minute intervals. Use corn syrup, not sugar, in young children.)
