The only time that I ever give a thumbs down is when someone asks a question and then answers it too.

I could not care less if the answer is "Christian enough" whatever that means? - the answer must make sense and actually answer the question posted - not be a rambling pasted preaching that wastes my time.
As to standards - I am sure everyone has standards. Some people are rude, others are experts so of course base their answer on facts, others are BS artists - all these types and all the rest of humanity have their own standards.
A question or answer that makes you think or laugh usually gets a thumbs up, any that are a waste of time usually get the thumbs down.
Peace.

You may have proved your own point! BTW I gave your question a thumbs up. I do not ever give questions a thumbs down, if I am not intrigued I do not answer, but when it comes to thumbs down on answers, much like "proud to be Muslim" people give me a thumbs down just because I am Wiccan! I don't give many thumbs down myself because everyone is entitled to their opinion. I will only give it if someone is really showing how ignorant and close-minded they are. I can accept other points of view. But I really have issues with someone saying how evil we are when they really have no idea what we are truly about!

I don't give thumbs down to people because of their religion, I give thumbs down to questions and answers posted by trolls and people who don't know what they are talking about. I also give thumbs down to people who copy and paste hundreds of lines to advertise their religion. Many times people do not read the question and go off half ****** giving their opinions without reading any of the details.
And thumbs down to the people who start their answer with "a better question would be....." as their answer.

I NEVER give a thumbs down rating based on content. I am not a censor for my community. If I don't like someone's response because it is deliberately irrelevant, I still don't do it. I report spam, and that's it.
My arguements are good enough to stand on their own.
Our community also has social power enough to overcome spammers, trolls and disruptive elements.
Giving someone a thumbs-down because you disagree with them? That's pretty much just beng a bully.

When I don't like the provided answers for the question I'm answering. I never thumbs-down any questions unless they are directly involving my belief system or if it's a bot.

From what I've seen, all sides of every issue, "thumbs down" anyone who disagrees with them, not just Christians...don't be so blind
