My mother was about 8 years old, & had been sent upstairs to bed, her mother was very ill (downstairs) & I should add, they lived in a very rural part of Kentucky where instead of being in hospital, she was at home with the doctor present. My mother told me that after about a half hour not being able to sleep, her mother "appeared" at her bedroom door, smiling, & in the same instant, she heard the doctor say: "She's gone." She didn't even know what he meant. He meant, that at the moment my grandmother appeared, she had just died. "Reality" confirms my mother's "ability"--I SAW my mother run out into the cold snow, calling her brother's name--Tom! Tom! She told us kids to get on our coats & get him inside, because he had to be lost in the storm, she had seen him. But there was nothing. We didn't have a phone at that time, but the next day, Uncle Tom's wife drove from the city, to let us know Tom had died, & precisely at the time my mother saw him. I've NEVER seen someone who passed. I'm more precognitive. Cynics may scoff as they will, but such thing DO happen.
Edit: I often agree with WellTrav, but not this time. Perhaps he needs to SEE it to believe it. It took me a long time before I realized the "other dimensions" with which certain people are in touch. I don't believe in fairy tales, but over time, I've learned there's far more than I'd ever have dreamed--of the "impossible" being not just possible, but true.

Yes I have , being a Chaplain in a Hospital as well as a Chaplain for a Volunteer Fire Dept. I have seen several over the years. It is really not a pretty sight and it is not something you soon forget.
I was called out to a fatality accident just this past Friday night , It is hard to forget some of the cases that I have been called out on.

Yes I have saw two dead people in my life. My Grandaddy when I was five. Shortly after he started talking with me. When I was sixteen my uncle died in a car accident with me in the car next to him. He started talking with me when I went to the hospital that evening trying to tell me he wasn't dead. I knew he was in the morgue. I had saw his brains all over the steering wheel I knew he was dead. I have spoken with many dead people since I was five years old. But I have only saw the dead body of two. xx

Sure, I used to work for the LA County Fire Dept., and saw quite a few dead people. Then there are my relatives that have died -- I saw all of them in their caskets at their funerals.
If you're asking if anyone has seen someone *after* they have died and they appear to be alive...
No, nobody has. Ever. Some people think they have, but they haven't. Because it's impossible. :)

ACTUALLY, YES I HAVE. UNFORTUNATELY ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION. I WORK IN AN OPERATING ROOM AND THERE HAVE BEEN SOME LESS THAN FORTUNATE TRAUMA PATIENTS THAT HAVE NOT SURVIVED.
THERE ARE ALSO THE OCCASIONS WHEN A PERSON IS DECLARED TO BE BRAIN DEAD AND THEIR FAMILIES HAVE BEEN GENEROUS ENOUGH TO DONATE THEIR ORGANS. I HAVE HAD TO PARTICIPATE IN THOSE SURGERIES AS WELL.
THERE WAS ALSO THE NIGHT IN NOVEMBER OF 1997 WHEN MY MOM PASSED AWAY. SHE HAD LUNG CANCER AND DIED AT HOME WITH ONLY THE FAMILY PRESENT.
I HAVE TO WONDER WHY YOU ASK THOUGH.

I saw my aunt when she got hit by a car and killed, and her oldest son watched as the drunk semi-driver took her life as she attempted to help someone on the side of the road with a flat tire, and she left her husband and two children behind.
