I'm always early for everything. At worst, on time. I am always surrounded by people who are Never on time. It annoys me to the point of a near annurism.
It started with my mother, nicknamed Mary Neverready, she was/is always late. It seems that I attract people who are always late.
If I can find a way to be on time than why cant others. It's just rude. I have spent my life waiting, always waiting.
I've tried to not let it bother me but it just does. It's annoying and inconsiderate.
Is there anyone else who agrees or has everyone in the world just become rude and think their is nothing wrong with making people wait on them?

you have all the right in the world to be annoyed .to be late shows a lack of respect for the other persons time !what do they think that you have nothing better to do than to wait for them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!the only true excuse for being late is death.other than that they should plan thier day with a little more consideration for the other person.

Yes. I am always early for everything. I'd much rather get someplace and wait, then be rushing all the time.

Sometimes things happen that you can't control (such as TRAFFIC), but if someone is consistently late, I will get pissed off.Late for appointments also pisses me off. It's not hard to be on time- I don't know why so many people have a problem with it, except that they don't give a **** about anyone's time but their own.

You're right. I'm also an early-person.

It's frustrating. But recently, I've made it a point to always have a book or newspaper or magazine with me, so that while I'm waiting for these people, I don't get all bent outta shape. In some sick way, I think the late people get a kick out of getting us upset, so don't let them have the satisfaction. . .read a book and be pleasant when they finally are ready.

I would say that if you attending an event and you know that late comers are part of it, arrange it so that your time is not waisted. Start what ever things need to be started with out them. Have tasks that you need to complete on hand in the event you are waiting for people so that your time is not waisted. (You could pay bills, check your email or read a book.) Remind people in advance when they are supposed to be at a certain place.

yes, I agree, I am always on time and there are some I know that are ALWAYS late, and I mean 30 minutes - 1 1/2 hours late! It's rude and it says they don't care much. I no longer wait for them, I give people about 15 minutes before ordering without them and letting them catch up. And if their favorite spot is gone at the table-oh-well.

You know Tarita, I agree with you, I hate the idea of waiting, like you I'm very punctual and when people are late make me so mad inside and trying to be nice when the person show up, but you know what, I stop using watch and it helps me overcome it.
If you are wearing watch you always look on time, might as well throw that watch.

It is very annoying AND inconvenient for the person who is on time. I am the same way, I have had to adjust my timing due to some of my very tardy friends.

Like if we are meeting around 5:00 I almost automatically assume that it will be closer to 5:30 and adjust the time on my own.

Being late is soooo rude! It showes a lack of respsct and a sad cry for attention. Like, "look at me and you have to wait on me because nothing startes with out me". Shame on them!

I dont think people are late on purpose....You cant help your circumstances. Things happen. You have to get over it or youll drive yourself nuts. Just keep doing what your doing. If someone makes you wait...leave them. Simple as that.
