Well, it's probably along the same principle as no matter what we eat, our waste is usually yellow and brown. The body processes what we put in. The cow's body uses the nutrients form the food to create the milk, but the chlorophyl form the grass doesn't transfer.

Hi, Surely a profound deep and pracarious question that throws me into an extreme canundrum, since there is a proponderance of evidence that milk is white and blood is red, and the Sun usually rises in the East, although I was in Berlin Last month and it seemed to set in the East, I was half way home before realising that there was a slim possibility, although very slim , I could have been wrong, milk is always preffered white ask any Calf Moo!!

Why is milk white? was a question asked in my Summer, 2003 newsletter from the dairy that delivers my milk, Royal Crest Dairy in Denver. The answer given was: "Milk contains casein, a milk protein rich in calcium that is white." Well, whether it is the casein or the calcium that should be white, this answer is incorrect.

The casein is soluble either in the water or the fat of the milk emulsion, and would be colorless and transparent in either case. Calcium, of course, is not white either. Even calcium carbonate is clear and colorless in a good crystal.

The whiteness is due to the scattering of light by the colloidal particles of the milk emulsion. Just the fact that we get white shows that there is no absorption, so whatever is there is transparent. This is true of most whites. The excellent white pigment titanium dioxide is actually made of clear crystals, dispersed as colloidal particles. Nearly all whites are the result of scattering from colloidal-sized particles. Colors, like green, may be produced in transmission by absorption of other colors; no such process can produce white, which in fact is a subjective color, existing completely in the visual sense. White is a very special color.

Same reason a woman can eat red meat, pink salmon,and green peas and still produce white milk!
O.K. for the totally dumb among us, milk is produced from fatty tissue in the breasts/udder.
Fatty tissue tends to be white.
So does milk.
Got it?
What we eat to produce the fatty tissue doesn't matter colour wise, otherwise milk would be yellow if a breast feeding woman ate a biryani!

what colour is human food, and yet when a mother breast feeds the milk is white!! - milk is milk and its white ok!!!

cos milk is produced from their t1ts (am i allowed to say that)? and not from their bowel or bladder!
no matter what women eat or drink, their breast milk is white!
feaces & urine is totally different thing
