Definitely not. Philips tvs are crap. The best Plasma tvs are made by Panasonic or Pioneer. Best LCDs manufacturers are Samsung,Panasonic,Sharp,Sony,..........

Philips is a good brand, but my brother sells high end media systems and he says that the best tv on the market right now is the Sony 1080 LCD.

I like the picture on them and Phillips has been around for year along with other popular names. Go an www.consumerreports.com and check their info.
