Well, if your child is swallowing coins, you probably shouldn't be giving him/her an allowance. Either he/she is not mature enough or he/she just wants attention from you. Either way, you should not be giving your child an allowance if this keeps on happening. What I would do if my child did it for attention is give them a warning the first time it happened and take away allowance the second time. Hopefully, the child would learn from the first time. Now, if your child is doing this "not on purpose" constantly, he/she is not old enough to be getting an allowance. I, personally, didn't start getting my allowance before I was 11. I would advise nowhere before the age of 10, under the circumstances of an average child. If your child swallowed a couple of coins by accident (just once), I would say to just explain to them that it is dangerous and to just let it pass. It is possible for kids to swallow things by accident and people are allowed to make mistakes. However, in any of these circumstances, I would definitely take my child to the doctor to check to see if there is anything wrong with his body system.
I hope my advice is helpful!

I would think if a child was swallowing coins, they would be too young to understand your concept . Save your change, you just might need it for an emergency room visit , is you keep giving it to the child doing this........ A coin is the perfect size to lodge in a child's windpipe, they could choke.. Please be care-full
On the other hand since your asking the question, the child must be fine, and if your worried about punishment, make the child retrieve the digested coin's ,,, I have a feeling this might do the trick
Good Luck
Merry Christmas

I think if your kid is old enough to get an allowance they should not be swallowing coins.

I hope that wasn't your first thought.
Calling a doctor would be mine, some of the metals in coins can be dangerous to ingest.

You take them to the ER to have it taken out then give it to the homeless person you didn't have the courage to give it to a few minutes ago ;)
