He asked the tree,"Do you want me to start with you or with your friend standing beside you?"
The tree said, "Let me ask him, and then we will let you gnaw." then a bit later, the tree said, "You can start with me.. my friend can't stand the pine"
So the beaver said, "Leave it to me", and start working on the tree.
The tree said," The things you do, just keeps gnawing at me... I don't know if I can take it. That's what I get for leaving it to Beaver!"
(ooohh to many Holiday drinks, I think)
