It is very safe. Some people brush their teeth with it. I am very sensitive to flouride (it gives me a bad bout of insomnia), so at night I use baking soda (bicarbonate of soda).
Our bodies produce bicarbonate of soda to neutralize acid in our food as it passes into the small intestines. It is frequenly used by people with acid indigestion. (One needs to be careful when doing so, to be sure that it is dissolved in water---the water clears once the baking soda has dissolved---before the water is drunk to relieve the indigestion.)

No baking soda is not dangerous for your teeth in small quantities. The pH is somewhat high (like 8 or 9) and thus it is a little caustic.

I sometimes use baking soda to settle acid indigestion (a rumbly tumbly) as it will neutralize acid.

Go ahead and brush your teeth with it. It is a pretty good cleaning agent, and is nice for your breath. It doesn't taste very good though.

Perfectly safe, after all it is used in baking. If you look at any baking soda box, almost all of them will list other uses for baking soda including that of making a paste of baking soda and water to whiten your teeth.

Commercial tooth whiteners use hydrogen peroxide and
are expensive and inconvenient. A cheap and natural tooth whitening home remedy uses few strawberries but certain precautions have to be taken.I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/ep7yg

It is a good cleaner for many uses, also a teaspoonful in a small glass of warm water will knock indigestion right out. A little more in a glass of water is a good laxative.

I use it everyday! It is safe! Just don't leave it on fo a long period of time! And I don't think you should swallow it, although it wouldn't hurt you!
