What we shall be?

Question

1John 3:2
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Did he not "appear" already?

Did we not see "what we shall be" when we saw Jesus transfigured or maybe, the many times he was seen after the resurrection in his glorified body, able to appear in rooms while the doors where locked?

Answer 1

I stepped on a poptart. Jesus shall descend through the clouds and lightly touch down. And all will gather round. And the first among us to speak shall say "How did you do that?"

Then another one shall come down, just as the first. And all will stand in awe. Then another and another. And soon the whole sky will be full of Jesuses coming down, calmly and with precision.

And a great multitude shall gather and grow greater, and science will have no words to explain all the Jesuses.

What we shall be is in the experiencing not in the seeing. See the transfiguration and experiencing it are not the same thing.
