My mums mate gave us there old Tv cause they brough a new one, its a Panasonic Quintrix F Flatscreen and about 27". Its got the usual white yellow and red input plugs but its got an extra red blue and green plug, could someone please tell me what those plugs are for? and help would be great. THANX

the inputs you are reffering to are known as "component inputs" and at a guess i would say your tv is one of the 100 htz types that have been on sale for a number of years now. although sadly your tv is not hd ready it can support what is known as "proggressive scan" if your DVD player outputs this. if it does then nip down to the local hi-fi store and pick up some component cables (these range in price-usually between £20 upwards-but asda (walmart) sell them for just under £7) and connect the two set the DVD player to proggressive scan output and select the appropriate source on your tv set for superior picture quality-although not quite hd standards-the picture should be quite impressive..

The extra red,blue and green plugs are part of a component port. You'll need a component cable to connect them to any device that has a component port ( component cable has 3 plug red,green,blue and the 2 regular red &white ). Your tv must be able to display a resolution of at least 1280x720 to be called HD.

those colour plugs are for your dvd player or other options.
If the TV was not procured new in the last year it probably is NOT an HD TV
