Most questions that are asked on here directed towards muslims were asked to Muhammad. God would then reveal the answer to Muhammad (pbuh) in the Qur'an. When asking about the muslim position, isnt it better that I give you the answer according to what Allah says, and not just my opinion?

Eg. They asked the Prophet about alcohol, and God revealed:

'They ask you (O Muhammad SAW) concerning alcoholic drink and gambling. Say: "In them is a great sin, and (some) benefit for men, but the sin of them is greater than their benefit." And they ask you what they ought to spend. Say: "That which is beyond your needs." Thus Allah makes clear to you His Laws in order that you may give thought." (Qur'an 2:219)

They get upset here no matter what you qoute from. There are people on here from every area of 'religion', including athiests, agnostics, and of course that other religion: idiots.
So I suggest you qoute from what you know. The Qur'an was actually taken from the Hebrew Old testament as was the christian bible old testament. So qouting it is the same as quoting the bible in many respects. And vice cersa. I do not say the bible is better or the qur'an better, just that they have much in common. Funnily enough this makes God, Allh, Jehovah, Elohim and all the other names he is used in the three religions. (Christianity, Judeaism and Muslim).
I qoute the King James Version Bible myself. It's the one I am most comfortable with and yet even it is not the actual original bible as there are so many man made changes. The qur'an you use today may have also gone through many such changes in it's time. Men have interfered where they ought not. But don't be put off by what people think. If you have something to say then say it and let everyone hear or not hear as they choose. Yours to speak, theirs to listen or ignore.
God (or allah if you prefer) bless you and keep you safe.

I would rather see your opinions, as you cite the appropriate surah. That way, I know that you have given some thought of your own to the question.

Giving some thought to a question on your own, no matter what religion you profess, is the first step to questioning what you've been taught, and the first step to seeing the light instad of being blinded by it.

I'm not a muslim, but I think if someone is asking you a question about Islam, then you should definitely quote your Qur'an.
I don't see why they would be upset over that... especially if they are asking about the religious beliefs of muslims.
Now, if they are asking a question to Christians and you answer with the Qur'an, it would be offensive to the christians.

Why do people get angry if I answer all questions by quoting from the Qur'an?
I do not get angry.

Many still confuse THE GOD with the moon god called allah.
They are indeed different entities with TOTALLY different attributes.

People who hate Islam get angry.
People who love Islam think that you are doing good. Because the Word of God affects the hearts, whether people know it or not.
Should you be aware of the comments of those who love or of those who hate?

because if we wanted a text book answer we would read it ourselves. believe me we can read.

when we ask a question that does not ask for bible or Quran refrences we are looking for a person's opinion. quoting a book only says to me

"i cannot think for myself so here is what someone else thought"

I am not sure why they do, but I can imagine that people feel that they are "preached to" when anyone throws quotes at them.
My suggestion is that you first phrase your answers in your won words, then include some quotes.

Because getting truth from a Qur'an (or bible) is like trying to squeeze custard out of a weasel's butt.
