Very good fighter. Needs to be tested though as the division isn't the strongest. Completely disagree with Brent's comments though. In the past, you had to put your title on the line in the USA to be considered great, but given that Calzaghe and Kessler dominate at super middle and are both European, why in god's name should they have to go elsewhere to fight anyone else? If the 'great' fighters in the USA are really that great then they should be able to beat a champion in his own backyard.
Kessler did dispose of Bayer quite easily which I think was expected. Don't know how he'd handle Calzaghe, but I'd love to see it happen and there is every likelihood he would win. Should Calzaghe beat Manfredo then he's hoping for a Taylor fight and then there's talk of Kessler.
As for him fighting Taylor or Wright (who I don't think is overrated), I think he'd beat Wright on power alone even with Wrights defensive ability but I think Taylor would prove a little more of a challenge. Could go either way.

I saw him destroy Marcus Beyer in a fight I had downloaded. He is very impressive. He would give Joe Calzaghe a great fight and can even win that one. Jermain Taylor would be interesting. Kessler has a good jab and can possibly keep the agressive Taylor off of him. It is another toss up fight. Wright IMO though would not have as many problems with Kessler except that he would be much smaller than him. I doubt he would ever want to go to 168 to meet him. 160 I could see, but Kessler has a lot of muscle and it might be hard for him to drop down to that weight. Kessler v Calzhage would be the dream match-up at 168 to unify the belts. I hope it can happen.

He is the reigning and defending WBC/WBA Supper Middleweight Champion. Undefetted with a record of 38-0-29ko's.
He is ranked #1 by Ring Magazine only behnd the real champion of the divison Joe Calzage. He would be a tough challeng for great fighters like Taylor and Wright, who by the way are not overrated. But is unlikely to fight them as they are not even in the same weight divison.

As long has he has the balls to fight these guys in the States I'd give him a chance of winning. But even with Taylor and Wright having to move up in weight they'd still be too fast for him and box circles around him until he was exposed as the over hyped truly untested fighter he genuinely is. You can't be recognized as great until you put your title on the line in the good ol' U S of A. He's got to quit fighting the handpicked competition they keep feeding him over there in Europe.

Highly unlikely he can beat Taylor or Wright given the
quality of opponents he has fought and beaten and the
fact almost all his fights were in his birthplace of Denmark.
He needs a good test against a quality opponent to see how good he really is.
