When he was 19, he was arrested in what later became Constantinople, for trashing a suite at the "Best Eastern Charriotel" after getting a mob drunk doing the water to wine trick.

the answer is in your very question, He did not start His PUBLIC ministry. He was growing in stature and in His ministry. even at a young age He was teaching in the synagogues of that day and many were astonished at His wisdom and knowledge of the scriptures. read Luke 2:41ff, you can also read Matthew 4:1-11 which talks about how Christ was being tempted before He started His public ministry.

First couple of years in Egypt, then following Joseph around on carpenter jobs. Afterwards, traveling around, there are old documents in Northern India, reporting about someone that was wise and would fit the description of Jesus. That could also explain some of his philosophical ideas that are said to be uncommon for the region. Thats what I've heard.

What are you talking about? Don't you remember the story in the Bible when Jesus was lost from his parents during travel? They had to backtrack and found Him in the temple teaching the Priests. He was about 11 years old at the time. When He wasn't preaching and teaching He was helping his earthly father Joseph with his carpentry business.
EDIT: Going around and preaching is NOT the only way to minister. I'm sure that Jesus reached out to those around Him on a daily basis.
