i bought the drumsticks on nov 19, froze them on the 20th (sell by date) and thawed them ou, then placed in the fridge overnight...i opened them up today and they smell funny...i am preheating now to bake them up...

is this safe? thanks!

I wouldn't. Too many problems with chicken having to do with Ecoli and salmonella. When you buy chicken, freeze it right away. When it is thawed, make sure you wipe everything down where the chicken and it's fluids touched with bleach and water.

I would always trust your nose. Did you thaw them at room temperature? If so, then they could have spoiled.

OH NO ABSOLUTLY DONT EAT IT, you sould get very sick from eating spoiled chicken throw it out to be safe

Yes they are dangerous, am a bit late in replying you...hope you have not eaten them by now and are not in EM ward!

I would advise you STRONGLY NOT TOO! They are defiantly spoiled.
