lol, the Big Band theory as in Louis Armstrong? I kid, I kid. The evidence does, however, point towards a universe of around 13 or so years.

Many do because there is significant evidence that the Earth is much younger than evolutionists who support the Big Band Theory believe.

I understand what you are saying. GOD speaking resulting in a big bang would, could, and ought to jive with the story in Genesis. But if we as Christians would have embraced the original theory of evolution with Pee King Man and Philadelphia man and such we would now be discredited for aligning ourselves with a false theory by the scientific community, even though it was scientifically proved at the time. They used to teach it in the late 70's in school. So we stay strictly to Genesis. It may very well be that the big bang idea is right. We just can't bank on anything but the Bible.

The difficulty is knowing exactly why scientist favor one particular "how we got here" model over another. One thing which favors Big Bang Theory over other models is SOME of the scientists using it were able to correctly predict the background radiation of 2.7 degrees Kelvin before it was discovered. Other scientists, using the same model were wildly wrong.

Some people are very stubborn and quite arrogant and will not validate something unless they can see it, touch it, taste it, smell it, etc They think in the natural realm, but God is supernatural.

Its in agreement with the Qur'an too.
"It is We Who have built the universe with might, and, verily, it is We Who make the vast extent(thereof)." (Qur'an 51:47)
