It's because immigrants are the ones who build America into "greatness." Immigrants leaving their countries for America are often the brightest of their nations but feel stifled by regulations by less open government systems. Also, immigrants often arrive in America with nothing but a dream, and they work hard to achieve those. They may live in the dumps, but they work to make sure that their subsequent generations can rise to the top. You're absolutely right - the best cities in America are the diverse ones. There's a reason why Hicktown isn't what America's famous for, but NYC, et al. is. Cheers!

the choose arises to look at reason and result. i'm an immigrant, i've got been right here basically over 11 years. I initially got here on an H1B visa and became later backed for a green card via an corporation that wanted to maintain me. I got here to stay in the Dallas section because of the fact it became a important telecoms center and had certainly one of those jobs that i could do. I even have traveled lots and prefer small city u.s. yet there at the instant are not any jobs there for me. It became the economic fulfillment of Dallas that attracted me. whilst I haven't any doubt that I, and different like me, have contributed to the fulfillment, it became the fulfillment that attracted me in the 1st place.

While the statements you make are true. You flunked the why and wherefore of the context.
Diversity & Culture.... Caused by the "sanctuary status" of said city. Reason for being "sanctuary" city...failing tax base, those who have the money are moving out. The cities themselves are becoming more a "City of Industry" rather than a city of "good living standards"
More or less, these cities are Malls, people with money, go there to make their money and have a good time....not live. It's also a city of entertainment...but you have to have a workforce to run the "entertainment/service side" of the city. Read low wages...more tax base incentives (sanctuary status).
Most cities provide tax breaks for large corps and businesses, therefore the "city income" is reduced further. So they NEED sanctuary status for their failing workforce and falling tax base.
You mention region... because without the support of the money OUTSIDE of the city. It would fail, miserably.
You have to think of these large cities as Fortune 500 companies. While you are walking around inside of one of the "large" companies. You will see proof of greatness and wealth, along side of the janitor and the lowly security guard. But, you will never sip wine with, nor shall you ever see the CEO unless you have the $$$.

They are drawn to where the jobs are. The jobs already exist. In fact, illegals are now going elsewhere in the country because even they don't like how many there are ruining schools and driving down wages in 'sanctuary cities.'

those sanctuary cities are also the biggest crime centers and urban
destruction, political corruption and pollution too...which rubs out any good that they have in them...

OOOH. You mean America's greatest LIBERAL cities.
I wouldn't be caught dead in New York, San Francisco, Miami or Boston.
NYC - I don't want to die.
Miami - I don't want to die.
San Francisco - I would rather NOT be in a city full of homosexuals
Boston - Ditto, except they are married.
WHO in their right mind, besides an IDIOT, would pick these as America's greatest cities??
Oh...
