If he created heaven an earth, he must have also created the universe

No, the (essentially) infinite stars were created by a formation of helium and some hydrogen, the first two elements to appear while the universe began to cool after the Big Bang. They didn't 'appear' like you might think, they formed from the pre-existing energy caused by the Big Bang.

I do believe that God created the stars and planets, but I guess you want to know how true that is because God is said to have created the universe in six days. I think that both the scientific theories of the universe and God's doing can happen together, with God's initiation:

First of all, God's six days can mean millions of years to us, who knows how many things could have been created at this time frame? In this way it makes sense for the gradual existence of dinosaurs.

Secondly I think God has created the universe in such perfect systematic order, that stars can easily be produced and die just like how we are produced and die eventually. Only, God causes it to continue, and until He says "stop," it'll keep on going.

Thirdly I think the knowledge of God is so vast that we can't hardly begin to comprehend the depth of the whole universe. We only know a tiny, tiny part of the universe. To us, trillions of stars is unbelievable. To God, it's a snap.

So I hope that helps. And just think, isn't it a blessing to have someone that powerful sent Jesus, with that same power, to save us and love us unconditionally?

If you believe that Jesus Christ existed then you either believe or reject what is said about him. If you believe what is said about him then you either believe or reject what the bible says about him. The bible says, in John 1: 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. The bible says that the Word of God is Jesus and that he is God and that he made everything that is made. If you are asking if God created the stars and planets that exist, even if you can't see all of them, which isn’t possible with your naked eye, but if a vast number of stars can be seen, even if it’s through the use of technology anyway, and a few planets, then they were made.

God created everything through the big bang but there is no proof of God nor the big bang they are both theories which you either believe or not. It's all conjecture.
How did Moses know how the universe was created. He didn't but he came up with an idea of creation which was fitting for the knowledge and understanding of the time.

Yes, speak to a Jehovahs witness, you will be amazed. Even mans living manual, the Bible talks about the wonders of the Universe and King David extols the creation of God in the book of the Psalms. Psalm 8:3,4

Saying there it no God makes no sense. The whole world speaks of his Creation. I believe that GOD created everything there is, and without him, life it self would not exist. What evidence they had found to prove that there is no God? The sun, the moon, the stars, the oceans, the sand, each unique snowflake, the three billion pieces of your DNA that are different from mine, are absolute proof that there had to be a Creator of this universe. When you see a beautiful painting, do you think the painter painted it? Or do you think the brush painted it? Of course we know that the painter painted it, but we also know that the painter used the brush. In the same way, you can see that God in claiming authorship of his creation. Everything that you see on this earth was done by his word, including man kind. You & Me. http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/0005/0005_01.asp
