What is the best way to calibrate your LCD TV. The manual does not tell you the meanings of Hue, Contrast etc.

The best way to calibrate your lcd is to have a pro do it but it will be expensive. You, however can save some money by doing it yourself. There's a basic calibration tools on the Star Wars dvs or the Incredibles,.... you can use it to calibrate your tv. Or you can buy a calibration dvd like AVIA or DVE to do it. Trust your eyes to do it if you don't have any of the tools above. A couple general rules you can follow: Don't turn the contrast or brightness to max, contrast should be around 70-80%, brightness around 65%, hue and color is up to you, sharpness should be around 20-30%.
