I have a gay friend, and he knew from an early age that he was gay. He denied for years because everyone teased him for not liking girls. Honestly, though, I think it does not matter if it's a choice or if it's innate. As long as something does not affect you personally, you have to tolerate it. You don't have to accept it, and by all means protest it if you feel opposed to it, but regardless we live in America and one of the pillars of American Democracy is freedom. Gays do not hurt anyone by being gay, and therefore they must be given the same rights and respect that anyone else does.

You want the Christian perspective on whether or not homosexuals are born that way? LOL

What's next? Asking Atheists what God looks like? Asking Swedish people how it feels like to be Chinese? Asking babies about pension funds?

Some people say they are born gay. That is why they have to be born again. Gay is a sin but not one of us is without sin, we just have different types of sin. That is why when you accept Jesus into your heart you must repent of the things you do that you know are wrong and work hard to change. You pray and ask others to pray for you and with you. A true Christian strives to glorify God in all things. All things in time. Not our time but His time.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ONE AND ALL

Some people are gay because they don't care about what God thinks or maybe they don't know.

Other causes for homosexuality could be that some of them had a rough childhood (they were rejected, molested or didn't have a good example from their parents).

Some do it for fun, others because they feed their thoughts with wrong ideas (fantasies) and because a too strong sexuality.
Homosexuality isn't something you get born with.

"What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, NOR MEN WHO LIE WITH MEN, nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom."-1Cor. 6:9,10.

NO! I heard a guy say once he felt like a dog.But that didn'take him a dog. Just because you get a feeling doesn't mean you have to follow it.People know inside what's right.

Do you remember Foley? He was molested by a priest then became gay. It does not just grow on them but I truly think something happens to them that makes them question their sexuality. When these questions are not properly addressed confusion occurs.

Both. I know a lesbian who admits she most certainly chose her sexuality. She got sick of men, and I cant blame her.

I also know a gay man, from my teens, and he was most certainly always gay.

I think it depends on the person.

Well since a sex drive cannot kick in until hormones do (and thats usually when mental illness kicks in to) then how could an attraction for the samesex kick in until then, so knowing from birth or being born that way is canceled out. So if they claim they know they are this way, its because of sin or dysfunctional family lifestyles, or they just went that way because they can.
