As mentioned in Revelation 16: 16. Probably stands for Har Mageddon, "the mountain of Megiddo". Taken to be a symbol of the final overthrow of evil by God.

According to scripture Armageddon is not a literal plavce but a world wide location. It is known as the place of deciding battles and will soon be the place that God will battle against the devil.....the orginal location I believe is in Iraq. Check out the prophecies of Daniel in the bible to find out more about this prophecy (Daniel 2:44)

It's notably called Armageddon "in the Hebrew tongue", which is biblicall allegory for "in the Law". In Christ: "the end of the law" (Romans 10:4) there is no law = no sin = no Armageddon. Not to mention "whether prophecies, they shall fail" (1Corinthians 13:8); and Revelation prophecies are intended to fail, being written only as a worse case scenario to avoid, not as something that will happen. Not to mention the end of the shew is already written:

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

It is known in Israel as Har Megido (the mountain of Meggido). ) Meggido is a hill in Israel near the modern settlement of Megiddo, known for theological, historical and geographical reasons. In ancient times Megiddo was an important city state. It is also known alternatively as Tel Megiddo (Hebrew) and Tell al-Mutesellim (Arabic). It is a tel (hill) made of 26 layers of the ruins of ancient cities in a strategic location at the head of a pass through the Carmel Ridge, which overlooks the Valley of Jezreel from the south.

Many say the mountain of Megiddo but actually it is a plain. And the truth is that it is a place that doesn't actually exist today but will one day.
