Interesting that you should ask. The oldest hair spray was used by the Mayans to prepare the sacrifical virgins. It was made from fermented pumpkin juice and worked great. It only came in one strength.

Helen Curtis. They started in Year 1948. Yes you can still pick it up from most stores that carry hairsprays.

I'm gonna agree with everyone here and say that nasty, horrible AquaNet stuff. My mom used to use that crap and it was horrible and i still remember it!!!
