I dont want anything crazy but what color of highlights should i get i have a dark carmel brown hair color and its a good color so i dont want to dye it but wat color of highlights whould look good
ohh and i have brown eyes

try a golden honey highlights, or medium arburn highlights. They both would look great with your color hair.

You could do several things; you could give yourself stripes (personally, I think they're tacky if they're not subtle), you could just die a section of the hair, like that girl from XMen with a white streak, or you could dye the tips of your hair. I'd suggest dark blonde or golden blonde to stick out, light brown for subtlety, or red if you can pull it off. Red is more difficult than the others - about 90% of red dye jobs at my school look fake or unflattering. Try going like Addison of Grey's Anatomy - she's got a great, natural dye job.
If you want to go an extreme color, like blue or pink, then try just adding one streak of the color in your hair for a bit of edge.

I have always liked a lighter brown highlights with dark brown hair. If you want to stand out you may go for red (maybe) if not than a brown that is lighter than yours will look good.

I have th same exact hair color as you it sounds like. My sister is a hairdresser and we went slowly. I got golden brown hightlights then got lighter. I also died the underneath dark. So my hair was light on top and dark underneath. It was sooo cute. and now for winter I went darker. So start slow with light blonde then go lighter if you want to.

My aunt did pink highlights last year she really stood out and looked really pretty alot of guys asked for her phone number lol any bright colors would make you stand out.

Why don't you start with an auburn(reddish) highlight if that is not dramatic enough do a dark ash blonde.
