I think this sounds like one of those where you really need to just bite the bullet and go see your optometrist. It sounds like your perscription may have changed and you need to update your specs (as you said its asymmetric). Or you may just be getting good old eye strain. If you are over 40 it may be that you need some varifocals. Either way, it needs to be checked.
Merry Christmas!

Have a eye test again even if you had one not so long ago thigs change, also you could get a grid for your pc if you not already got one if so how old is it and it might not be working as well now you may need another one ,ask your self do you read with light on of off? always best to read with the light on as you dont strain your eyes if light off when reading that would cause pain in your eyes.hope this has been somehelp to you good luck

Try the following - every 60 minutes look outside your window or focus on sth really distant (and green, like trees), do it for 10 minutes. Do it couple of times throughout a day, if it doesn't help go see a doctor. If they ache it's nothing good, your eye muscles could be simply tired but it could be also a symptom of sth serious. I ignored my aches 2 years ago and I ended up with a really serious case of iritis. You don't want to know what it is ;) Take care and I hope it goes away!

yes it sounds like eye strain, leave the PC alone for a few days and use some soothing eye drops.the cold winter months dry your eyes out and make them sore.

You need to see your dr. and also try dimming the monitor alittle. I am not a dr. but I think this could be caused from looking at the monitor to much or it being to bright. anyway good luck.
