According to what I found, it is really a BAD IDEA! The information that I found comes from http://www.recoverythroughsupport.com/factsheets/inhalants.html
It says that: What are the short-term effects of inhalant abuse? Inhaled chemicals travel rapidly from the lungs through the blood to the brain and other organs. In minutes, the user feels alcohol-like effects such as slurred speech, clumsy movements, dizziness, and euphoria. Other effects might include lightheadedness, hallucinations, delusions, and, after heavy use of inhalants, drowsiness and a lingering headache. Inhaled nitrites dilate blood vessels, increase heart rate, and produce a sensation of heat and excitement.
What are the medical consequences of inhalant abuse? The most serious hazard for inhalant abusers is a syndrome called "sudden sniffing death." A single, prolonged session of inhalant use can produce rapid and irregular heart rhythms, heart failure, and death. It can happen within minutes and can strike an otherwise healthy young person. But inhalant abuse can cause death in other ways, too-asphyxiation, suffocation, or choking.
Chronic exposure to inhalants causes widespread and long-lasting damage to the nervous system and other vital organs. The toxic chemicals damage parts of the brain that control learning, movement, vision, and hearing. Damage to the heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys may be permanent.
This does NOT sound like it would be a GOOD choice for anyone with half a brain! Please think about this seriously.

The governments official line is that sniffing glue is bad. Let me ask you something then buddy - has glue been banned? Sure, certain glues are not advisable. I had a nasty experience with some araldite a few years ago and sometimes I still walk into walls on my left. But your average glue stick, arts and crafts glue and most wood working glues provide hours of cheap entertainment with minimal risk. I guy back in school called Gluey was the biggest sniffer I knew. Gluey is in a home now and is fed through a tube in his nose but for 5 years he was the most popular guy at school - that's what counts.

Yes, it's bad for you. And, come on, you already knew that!
The repercussions of sniffing, huffing and stuff is that eventually, you will die. Not the first or second time, maybe, but keep it up and you'll take yourself down a path that won't have a happy ending.

The gas and cells from what you're smelling are taking up the space that should be taken by oxygen. The feeling you get from sniffing is the brain's reaction to lack of oxygen, and the effect of the gas itself. In both cases, this kills brain cells that won't be replaced. It'll make a person very dumb, very quickly.

very very bad for you to do. it will kill what few brain cells you do have, and kill you too. i knew a few sniffers years ago, and the ones that did not die, are very retarded now. i know of 2 that has no idea the world or them selves exist. stop sniffing while you still have a few brain cells left.
