It's barbaric and amazingly, it's the "compassionate" LIBERALS in universities and science labs who are doing it, in addition to other forms of animal abuse when they don't get their way (not to mention the slaughering of the unborn by abortion.

In christrianity? No I do not think it is a "sin" In fact I think it is kind of encouraged. But in the Nature Religions, in particular stuff like Buddhism, Shinto, or other animism religions. I believe it to be possible the worst of sins, only acceptable in the case either after death experiments, no pain is involved, or if it can save other animals, but when it is to save humans I think it is a bunch of bull. When it is to see if stuff like frebreeze will burn if it gets in your eyes, that is sinful. Whenever it is to test something that is not nesicary for life, that is definateley a sin.

It would depend on the reason for the experiment. In the Old Testament law there were countless reasons to sacrifice an animal to atone for this and that. To sacrifice an animal for research would not conflict with anything I have read in the Bible.

sin - harm or being without, basically intentional disrespect
if you get an animal to sign a release form, I'd say no
however, lol this isn't the case
see also Dominionists who think "god" supposedly handed over power over Nature (see also Katrina Hurricane) and all creeping things (see also Orkin Man failures)
I would have to say disrespect to self or other life is harm, and respect to other life is beneficial or mutually honoring
golden rule! if it harms none, do what you will

I think it is cruel and unnecessary and they do brain surgury and all kinds of horrible cruel experients. It is brutal and sadistic.
And I do believe they will be punished for being so cruel.
To a helpless little living creature. Who values its life as much as you do.

No. God gave man dominion over the animals. As long as they are not unnecessarily abused they are here for use.
