i bought a perfume for my boyfriend this christmas, as i couldn't find anything nice enough for him, although i looked for a gift for a hole day. when i gave it to him, he looked at me very upset and told me he didn't expect such an unpleasant surprise from me. he even called me "superficial" and told me he wished for something else, something "from the heart" and which would make him remember me. i was pretty disppointed.what do you think? was he rude? was the fact that i tried to make him a nice surprise a bad thing? p.s.: he had told me he wanted a new perfume a few days before

Your boyfriend is a complete retard. Give him "something from the heart" - tell him to close his eyes and then kick him in the nuts. Guys should not expect gifts from their woman. He is the superficial one if he places so much importance on a gift. Fragrences are expensive (I assume you didn't buy crap). If he asked for it then that makes it worse - he is either a liar then or he has early dementia. Drop this guy he sounds like a wanker.

That is just terrible. He should never ever treat you like that. He should be happy to recieve a gift. Especially, because he said he wanted that. You deserve so much better. I would be really upset with him and would probably have ended it then and there. He needs to respect you and appreciate what you have done for him. Don't settle for that!

Your bf sounds pretty immature. I would be delighted with anything my gf gave me, whether I could use it or not. To complain about a present is unspeakably bad manners & shows you alot about this fellow's character & attitude, at least at this point in his development. I'd think seriously if you really want more of this kind of attitude from anyone in your life. Our mistakes are just that - they can be righted, but often they show where we are with things & what's underneath.

Good Luck!

Peace on earth,

;-)

Yes, he was very rude, and should have been happy that you cared enough to get a gift for him! You might want to look for someone that truly appreciates you, and the fact that you think about them!

Girl I wouldn't feel bad, after all it was the thought that counted. He is rude and unkind. Why are you with him. Find someone else that will appreciate you. You deserve better than that.

Your boyfriend overreacted and was very disrespectful. He shouldn't have said the things that he did. I think when you love someone, you show them respect so maybe he doesn't love you.

Trust me,,,,,,He was very rude and crude.. Also he doesn't seem to care about your feelings at all. I'd tell him to back off and find someone who appreciates you and your giving more than he does,,,,,He's a jerk-off
