Microsoft now ask if it can check to see if you have a valid copy of windows xp before it allows downloads of upgrades to its products, IE like media player or Internet explorer, if you have a registered version of xp Microsoft will allow media player to be upgraded if not it will tell you your copy of xp is not registered and will not allow you to upgrade, nothing else will happen.
There are simple cracks on the web to overcome non valid versions of xp search for (Microsoft genuine advantage crack.)

You have been OWNED! Prolly got IE7 also? man that stuff is just junk. Ambient,Amphi, there are about 70 free Linux Players, download a Linux Distro, get a good one, Ubuntu,Debian,Slackware, just do research, get a stable one and get off the perpetual you have to pay to use after you pay own, but you dont own anything and the software that you paid for can legally be shut down,Virus infected and Remotely terminated if the owner thinks, not has proof, but thinks that you have used Their Software to have fun.
Linux,Debian,FreeDOS,there are bunches, but stay away from Novell/Suse. thats Microsoft poison again.

Windows Media player is FOR FREE. It is asking you to validate because they need to know if your Microsoft Windows operating system (ie. WIndows XP Professional) is ORIGINAL, and not FAKE/PIRATED.

use realplayer. Anything that can be play in media player can be play in realplayer, but not vise versa. Media player doesn't support .rmvb format (can be play in realplayer), so you need to download realplayer alternative inorder to play in media player. Use vlc player as well, it can play most videoes without you going to download extra codec. realplayer and vlc together work the best.

There must be a equipment restoration. It places the workstation instructions lower back the way it grow to be interior the previous downloading or upgrading. Or, you're able to desire to locate the strengthen below "upload/do away with" and could uninstall the strengthen.
