shoes are a good idea, they will keep their paws from getting wet if it has snowed or rained. With dogs like that though, I would only get them sweaters for outside. Inside with all that hair might make them a little too hot. My Bichones are the same way, when they get a hair cut in the winter we keep their sweaters on them in the house, but if their hair is long, they only get their sweaters when they go outside. I hope this helps!

Of course. The same as a hat keeping your head warm. Breeds of dogs that are thin-haired, hairless, or small generally need to wear coats in cold weather because they are not well adapted to low temperatures. What material the coat is made out of will affect how warm the dog stays, but even acrylic can keep them warm. Even an uninsulated rain jacket can keep your dog much warmer by reducing the evaporative cooling from the rain.

I have a pekingese, and he is very hairy. Since we don't have carpet, the floor is very cold. And sometimes he shivers when it is cold, so we do have some sweaters for him. I would definitely recommend that you buy your dogs some sweater if it gets really cold at night, and hopefully they'll like it. lol Whenever I put the sweater on my pekingese, he doesn't shiver. I hope that helps!
I would say to try buying a simple jacket/sweater first to see if they like it, and if they don't, just get them a big warm dog bed because it works very well at keeping them warm too.
Haha the shoes falls off my dog when he walks.

Definitely get clothes. I have a short-furred dog and he was shivering so we bought a little sweatshirt for him and he was warm.
if you're going out try a more blanket-style piece of clothing that keeps them warm and the wind away.
but if you're staying home try a sweater they are really warm.
don't get the thin cotton kind that doesnt do much
and some dogs object to wearing clothes

It's not only a great idea, but yes, clothes do keep dog's warm. I have #5 Chihuahuas, and I dress them up all the time, but not only because it keeps them warm, because they seem to love it, and they look so cute. I would say, "Go For It"!

For short haired breeds like Weimaraners and Great Danes - they do need a vest for prolonged times in the cold - as their fur does not keep them warm.
Keep in mind that for smaller dogs, sometimes sweaters inhinit their ability to PEE. So please consider this.
Does your dog shiver when outside? If it does not, it doens't need a sweater, and you're only confining the dog in clothes for your OWN benefit. Think about the pet first, many animals don't like to be in constricting clothing, and it sounds like your dog has suitable fur for walks in cold weather.

well i have two dogs i bought them sweaters but that was a waste cause they didn't like them. they kept trying to kick them off. i'd say that you should just let them be cause your dogs might not like them. and if they have alot of hair their fine.
