medication is the only way to go, an over the counter product that contains Pyrantel will cover most of the common parasites (don't use anything else, just the pyrantel, the other stuff is useless). Follow the label instructions for proper dosing. A vet can do a fecal exam and tell you exactly what parasites are present, pyrantel is used for most common parasites except for tapeworms and coccidia.

Tapeworms occur when cats or kittens ingest a flea while grooming. Flea larvae feed on tapeworm eggs, so the flea is a carrier. When the cat ingests the flea, the tapeworm egg hatches in the intestine. You will see wiggly, rice-like segments around the kitten’s anus or in the feces. These will dry up and release tapeworm eggs. I'll supply a link below that explains everything. Your kitten should be treated with Advantage (for cats and kittens under 9 pounds) to safely and quickly kill the fleas. Your vet can sell you a tube, or you can buy it at a pet supply store or online. Don’t use cheap flea treatments such as Hartz or Zodiac because they can be very dangerous for your kitten! Advantage is the only effective topical flea treatment that is safe to use on kittens. The tapeworm can be killed with a dewormer containing praziquantel. Your vet can administer Droncit or Drontal (which also contains pyrantel pamoate to kill other worms such as roundworms). You can buy tapeworm tablets online that are safe and effective (containing praziquantel), but I strongly advise you to establish a relationship with a vet of your choice if you have not already done so. If the kitten is too small to swallow a pill, the vet can give injectable tapeworm treatment. If you do not know how to give a pill to a kitten or cat, it is best and safest to have a vet tech do it and show you how to do it. What was the "sticky stuff" that necessitated a bath? Has he received his kitten vaccines and boosters? I have 5 cats (and 13 years of cat shelter experience) and believe me, it is a good idea to find a good vet for your kitten. The vet will do the initial "kitten stuff" - vaccines, deworming, and neutering, and will also keep a file on your kitten for future reference in case of emergency. Good luck with your new family member!

The only safe and effective way to deworm your cat is from a vet. Great care needs to be taken when medicating any cat, but especially a kitten.

you really need to take the kitten to the vet to have vaccinations and have your vet deworm your cat. there is no "household remedy" for worms. And the dewormer you buy over the counter does not take care of all the intestinal parasites that cats can have

There are a number of worms or parasitic infestations that could be affecting your kitten. A vet needs to determine which one and precribed the appropriate medication. That is the ONLY safe way to take care of this type of problem.

If you have identified the worm type you can go to your local pet store and buy meds. If you have never dealt with worming before, a simple vet visit with a cat poop specimen, medication from them will get it taken care of too.

I have never found a natural way. I would suggest getting the medicine from the vet. It is usually not very expensive.
