Most of Europe requires a passport for tourist related travel, and don't need a visa. Here is a link to the official site, and lists countries. You can also look up other details about entering Canada there.

If you hold a EU passport, you do not need a visa to visit Canada. You are allowed a maximum of 6 months to stay in the country.
