Let's not forget it. God gave his only begotten son for us. Let's worship Him on this day. Tell the world how great he is. Don't forget the true meaning of Christmas.

My Christmas is very quiet this year and its very sad, but I have more riches than many others, I have the assurance of knowing exactly where I'm going when I take my last breath and I'm standing before my Lord. My name will be read from the Book of Life and I will enter those pearly gates with shouts of joy!

I want to see Moses and ask him to describe in detail what the Red Sea looked like when it was parted for them to cross, I want to hear about everything he experienced.

Then I'll go chat with Noah and ask him what in the world did they use for air freshner?! After all, there was no Glade aerosole to spray or even scented candles (did they have candles then?).

I want to ask Ruth if she and Boaz placed the sandal given by Naomi's kinsman to Boaz for his willingness to allow Boaz to take on his responsibilty and marry Ruth, did they place it on the mantle as a sentimental nic-nac? Or did Ruth and other women secretly laugh at the men doing something so crazy with a smelly old sandal?

Then I want to talk to Mary and see what it was like to carry the Christ child in her womb and to hold this child in her arms for the first time even though she could not completely fathom what He would mean to the rest of the world and that He would be adored for ever and ever, and most of all,

that EVERY knee will bow and EVERY tongue will
confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Wow, just imagine listening first hand to all these wonderful stories we've been given, to talk to the woman who had so much faith she just reached out and touched the Lord's robe as He walked by, and Miriam about the day the Lord came to her aid?

To hear Martha and Mary's account about the day Jesus came to visit them and I'm sure by now they are laughing over the squabble they had when Martha was keeping herself busy with worldly stuff and complaining because Mary wouldn't help her in the kitchen.

Can you imagine how she was actually whining to Jesus about how her sister was making her do all the work and demanding that He tell her to come and help?

Yes, I want to celebrate the Lord's birthday and it doesn't matter what day He was born on and besides, we celebrate Him throughout the year!

Somewhere down the road Christmas just became the time to invite the whole world to come and celebrate and the whole world has been doing just that for years and years.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!

Travel in peace and love throughout this next year and pass on all that is good to another

........ AND .......

I pray that Jesus Christ who is Lord & Savior will richly bless each person on this site and give you the bery best He has to offer!

Debi -
a truly happy to be child of Abba, the one true God.

Hey, you guys who don't believe in spending eternity with Christ, and how if you don't believe in that than the only other choice for you is hell (and I'm not forcing this down your throat, I'm just stating a fact), then look at it this way,

if I'm wrong what have I got to lose?
if you are wrong, you have eternity to spend in a fire greater than any kind of fire possible on earth, it will be a supernatural power of burning and you will thirst and gnash your teeth together un more pain than a human mind can grasp for ever and ever and ever and ever.

There is only one truth, either there is truth in Christ or there isn't. I think I like my odds better and that was allowing God to show me the way. A fifty-fifty chance just doesn't seem worth the consequences of being wrong.

Hell was not created for man, God doesn't want anyone to go to hell, and yes, He is still a very loving Father even when someone goes to hell. He grieves, but it was His creation, He designed you and He sees life different than we see it.

I care about all of you, please think about this. Many that are on this site will not have a chance to make the right decision before they die. As the scripture says, EVERY knee will bow, EVERY tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, but for many it will be too late. They will stand before Jesus and they are going to believe, truth will no longer be possible to deny.

You have a fifty-fifty chance. Either He is real or He isn't. Either there is a hell or there isn't.

The true meaning of Christmas?

2006-12-24 10:11:45 · answer #2 · answered by Steve 2 · 1 0

I agree, however, I feel the majority of people don't even know the true meaning of Christmas. They think of Santa, gifts, partying, drinking, eating to much. Sad but very true. Have a blessed Christmas and a joyous New Year! God bless****

The true meaning of Christmas???
It came from Sun worship. the evergreen tree the lights from Astrologists who worship the stars and planets.
Jesus wasn't born then so that's a lie.
There is no Santa Clause so that's a lie.
It is a holiday promoted by big business to make money.
So it worships greedy commercialism. That is the true meaning of Christmas. All the rest is lies.

Associating truth with Christmas is rather oxymoronic, since no other holiday has more lies attached to it. As for what God gave, it wasn't sacrifice; for you won't get any sacrifice out of the God of all grace... which is to say you may be worshipping the false God (on high in the heavens) rather than the true God (higher than the heavens). I suggest you look at John 3:17 as well as John 3:16, and perhaps note they are for comparison of law and grace.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Not everyone who celebrates Christmas does so for the same reason.

The true meaning of Christmas to me (yes I celebrate it) is family, joy, gift giving, food, etc.

i'm sure that everyone is not putting their focus on the true meaning of christmas, it's a sad fact that there are people that don't believe in God, or Jesus, however, i do put my focus on the true meaning of christmas.

You can focus on the true meaning of Christmas without HIM.

I agree. Let's do that. Jesus Christ is our great God's son, the greatest man who ever walked on earth. We already know that Jesus Christ is our Lord, and all have accepted him as our Savior completely. Christmas is his birthday, God or The Father's son's birthday. So let's enjoy it. At least try to if you can't.
