Depends on where you get it, but since I have gotten a tattoo, I'll let you know that your skin will be very sensitive for a couple of days. Shaving might be a good idea anyway.

The area being tattooed must be shaved to prevent cross contamination, if hair is left on the surface of the skin, it will literally be driven into your body by the tattoo gun/machine most likely resulting in a little thing called a staf infection. untreated this can be life threatening, a big price to pay for the sake of a throw away razor. If You have ever been tattooed by someone who doesnt shave the area to be done, chances are he/she has "saved" a few dollars elsewhere to. So yes You will require some shaving.

They do not *always* shave every place you get a tattoo. Only if there is hair there.
I have a tat on the back of my neck and so does my daughter and neither of us were shaved for it.

If there is any hair growing where the tattoo is going to be done, they will need to shave the area.

probably. it depends. i have when i got the first part of my back tattoo he had to shave it. but after that he didn't. and i didn't have to have my feet shaved both of my foot tattoo. i guess it depends on how much hair is there. even if there is a little bit... you'll have to shave it. but it doesn't grow back thicker or anything.

Depends on if the tat goes up into your hairline or not. If it does then yes. I have one the back of my neck also, they didnt have to shave it.
FYI: it doesnt hurt. atleast for me, it didnt. My friend has tats all over his neck and the ones he said hurt the most are the ones on the side of the neck and front.. and under the wrists.

Goodluck!!!

Is the tat2 going to be where there is hair? If so, then yes, he will shave it. If you don't want this to happen, then maybe you should lower the tat2 so that it isn't around any hair growth. I have two tat2 and find it a wonderful experience....Have fun!
