She's an old pomeranian. About 10 or 9 years old. She sleeps at the edge of my bed and EVERY single morning for the past week shes been waking me up(early too! anytime from 3AM to 6 AM). Making the same whining noise as she does when she's stuck on the bed or locked in a room. I wake up grumpy and get her off the bed to let her wander around the house doing who knows what and I go to back to sleep. I don't think she wants to pee because I take her for a long walk every night just before I sleep.

She's an old girl, believe it or not she probably does need to pee.
If she has been spayed there is a good chance her bladder funtion is decreasing. Try putting her water bowl up an hour or so before her nightly walk. If this doesn't work have your vet check her out.

I would suspect she needs to go to the bathroom. Maybe she's going in the house when you go back to sleep? As dogs get older, like many people, they have to pee more often. A walk before bedtime may have been just fine before but now she needs to go more often. The only time my dog ever wakes me up is if he needs to go out. Try taking her out next time and see if she goes, that'll answer the question.

Since she's an older dog she probably just has to go to the bathroom. You might want to check around your house to make sure she didn't go on the floor. I have an older dog that will have accidents if not let out in time. I would try taking her out the next time she wakes you up. I hate being woken up too but its better to be woken up than have to clean up a mess.

As she gets older, her ability to hold it will diminish. Sorry, but she very well could need to go for a walk. Get over it and walk your dog or get a dog flap for the door so she can go out when she wants

She probaly wants to go to the bathroom. My dog wakes me up every morning because of that. However, she could also be hungry. If you tried all of that and she still does it, she probaly knows it is the morning and wants to start her day with you.

There could be several reasons why she is doing this - needing to urinate is a good possibility.

It is also possible her joints bother her some and she needs to stretch out.

She could also be getting old and disoriented, too. Give her a break and try to figure it out.

dude we have the same circumstance except i have cats. i wake up grumpy too. the thing is , is that i had to except that there are times when they just wanna be in our company, "awake" company and just kick it. i laugh tho cuz they wake me up at 4 am and i get up at 515 so i seldom feel rested. but heres the thing when my heart can handle it i have to shut our bedroom door cuz it starts to take a negative toll on me. i think it kicks *** that you love your dog enough to care.good luck brah!

well my dog wakes us up with loud whining barks every morning and he does want to go pee even though we take him out every night pretty late.

since your dog is older maybe she can't hold it in as long

my dogs do the same thing but they have to go to the bathroom so just let the dog out. and then when u hear barking at the door just let it in. or your dog might be hungry.

he/she could get lonely or be hungry or have to go to the bathroom try to ask it. That seems strange but if it loves you , you will get a responce.
